Ida Bay to Southport Lagoon Photos

Leaving from the Ida Bay Railway station at Lune River in Tasmania’s far south; this medium difficulty walk offers unique hiking experiences along early 1900s railway tracks. This 20km return hike takes in coastal railways systems, sandy buttongrass heathlands and vast lagoon and ocean vistas. For a shorter hike of 6km you may like to catch the Ida Bay Train to Elliott Beach and begin your walk from there.
