The Trail
The Junee Cave track is a short but interesting walk located 5km outside of Maydena. The trail is just under 1km return, highlighting beautiful rainforest habitat and the Junee Cave from which the Junee River rises. From the carpark the trail begins on a forestry road before migrating to a track after 400m.
The Junee Cave is part of a large cave system stretching 30km through some 295 caves including Niggly Cave, the Deepest Cave in Australia. The initial section of this cave can be explored if equipped with suitable gear.
