The Trail
This 2km return walk is a fantastic short hike combining lovely rainforests settings with breath taking views.
After a gentle climb from the carpark the trail leads through the dense temperate rainforest before opening up on to a heathland ridge. From the lookout platform at the peak of the ridge impressive views overlook the junction of the Collingwood and Franklin Rivers as well as amazing sweeping views mountain views including the towering Frenchmans Cap.
Although slightly longer than the other the Lyell Highway walks (Nelson Falls & Franklin River Trail) it offers some most incredible views found in this region, making it an extremely rewarding hike.
